Professional Learning Facilitator Training

Main content start

National Board Certified Teachers who support candidates and lead programs need to know more than the component details: they need to be able to support collaborative conversations about teaching and equity, as well as consider equity and access in program design. In addition, they need to help candidates ask one another useful questions, build community, become more analytical about their practice, and be able to identify evidence of work that exemplifies the standards of accomplished teaching. In order to do this work, we offer virtual training for Professional Learning Facilitators & Program Leaders.

We will use materials created by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), the National Board Resource Center at Stanford, and networks across the country with throughlines of equity and access for candidates, scoring, and the NBPTS Body of Knowledge. The training will include access to a Canvas course as a "textbook."
