
Supporting National Board Candidates: Mentoring Strategies and Resources
The National Board Resource Center at Stanford is offering a one-day seminar for support providers designed to help both new and experienced support providers become more effective. Topics will include:
- Providing feedback focused on teaching that reflects NB standards and highlights evidence
- Helping candidates help themselves and one another by engaging in collegial conversations and strategic questioning
- Finding and using resources that promote self-assessment and reflection
- Confronting dilemmas of providing good and ethical support
- Timelines and modules for support groups to use with candidates for both full certification and Take One!
This seminar will be held on Saturday, July 26 at the Center for Educational Research at Stanford (CERAS) in room 204 from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Cost is $150.00 and includes all materials.
