NBRC at Stanford University

About the NBRC

The National Board Resource Center at Stanford was established in 1998 under the direction of Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond. Since that time it has conducted support groups for teachers seeking certification from The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Its support program has helped hundreds of teachers learn about and pursue certification. Its goal of improving education in American schools by improving the quality of teaching is being accomplished through supporting candidates for National Board certification, disseminating information to schools on professional development opportunities based National Board standards, and promoting new leadership roles and for NBCTs in California. The work of the National Board Resource Center is funded by grants from the Stuart Foundation and the Payne Family Foundation.
